About Us

MS United for Young Adults, a non-profit organization, was founded in 2006 by Jayme A. Maestas in an effort to help the young with Multiple Sclerosis to continue pursuing their life goals and dreams regardless. It is her vision, passion, and tenacity that have brought this organization to life. Diagnosed several years ago at the young age of 16, Jayme frequented many MS events most with participants much older than herself. As she has met others her age with MS, she began hosting meetings and social events for young adults providing a forum for each to share their life challenges. Her growing membership emphasized the need for an organization that served the needs of the younger adult. Jayme's mission is to provide products and services that will inspire, educate and motivate the young adult with MS giving them the support and encouragement needed to cope with life challenges as they manage the symptoms of their MS condition. The organization is led by a Board of Directors whose membership have all pursued formal educations, careers, family aside the fact that they have Multiple Sclerosis. Jayme and her strong and supportive Board members wish to share their life experiences to prepare others for what may lie ahead.

Our Goals. . .
  • To Educate, Motivate and Inspire Young Adults with Disabilities!
  • To Create a Support System That Knows No Geographical Boundaries!
  • To Encourage Young adults with chronic illnesses to Continue Moving Forward no matter what happens!

Our experienced and supportive staff, who have first-hand knowledge of your situation, are always eager to help!
